About TravelIt
Real travel guides. Honest budgets. No fluff.
Why We Built This
Most Indian travel blogs tell you a destination is "magical" and "unmissable" — then give you a budget that has not been realistic since 2018. You land at the destination, everything costs twice as much as the blog said, and you spend the trip stressed about money instead of enjoying it.
TravelIt exists to fix that. We write guides the way a well-traveled friend would — with actual bus names, real hotel prices, specific restaurants, and honest opinions about what is worth your time and what is not.
What We Cover
We focus on budget travel for Indian travelers — domestic destinations like Manali, Kashmir, Goa, Jaipur, Dharamshala and Vrindavan, as well as visa-friendly international destinations that work well for Indian passport holders.
Every guide includes real cost breakdowns, transport options with actual prices, where to stay under ₹800 a night, what to eat and where, and the tourist traps to avoid. We update guides regularly so the numbers stay accurate.
What Makes Us Different
- →Real numbers. We give you actual 2026 prices — not ranges so wide they are useless.
- →Honest opinions. If something is overrated we say so. If something is worth the money we say that too.
- →AI Budget Planner. Our AI trip planner gives you a personalised cost estimate for any Indian destination based on your starting city, travel style and group size.
- →Built for Indian travelers. Prices in rupees, transport options Indians actually use, food recommendations that match Indian tastes and budgets.
Our Promise
We will never recommend something we would not use ourselves. We will never write a 5-star review for a 2-star experience because someone paid us to. And we will always tell you when a link on our site is an affiliate link so you know exactly what you are clicking.
Travel should be accessible. A tight budget should not mean a bad trip. That is the whole point of TravelIt.
